WSFL Rock Dog of the Week 3-25-24

Just in time for Easter, meet Silly Rabbit!

She’s a 1-year-old pitbull blend that came into the shelter via APS on 12/29/24; it was obvious that she was being neglected and not properly cared for due to her level of emaciation and body condition. She came in alongside her friend, Trix, who has since gone to Colonial Capital Humane Society and is still available for adoption as well. Silly Rabbit is everything you could hope for in a family pet – she is people social, dog social, well-mannered, and very smart! She loves to go on walks and spend time outside chasing a ball or other toys, and she loves treats. She is petite at just about 40lbs, heartworm negative and her adoption fee will include her spay and a microchip as well. Her adoption fee is $62.50 as she is a part of the lonely hearts club, since she has been at the shelter for over 50 days. It isn’t uncommon for pitbull breeds to linger in a shelter environment due to the negative stigma that they sometimes receive, but this girl is a true gem. The perfect family is out there, and we hope that they find her soon! (Pictures taken by HLB Photography)
