Daniel Fairbrother, a 35-year-old guy in England, just proposed to his girlfriend while running the London Marathon with a fridge strapped to his back.  You might remember Dan from when cops stopped him during a training run a few months back, because they thought he was a burglar.  He did the fridge thing to raise money for diabetes research. He’s been trying to break a world record for fastest marathon with an appliance strapped to your back.  It looks like he fell short of that this time, but a big congrats on the engagement!…………. A new high-tech way of healing broken bones could take less time, and also make them much stronger. The new treatment method uses plasma irradiation to promote faster bone healing in complex fractures………………And finally……………….. 

A woman in Connecticut was filming a mama bear crossing a bridge when its cub fell off and into a river.  After pacing on the bridge looking for her cub, the mom ran down, jumped in the water, and pulled it out.  Then, as the mama bear started to walk away, the cub fell back into the water, and she saved it a second time. (Guessing that cub got a hug, then maybe a swimming lesson.)
