A cop in Canada decided to anonymously donate a kidney, and it saved a schoolteacher’s life, but she’s not anonymous anymore.  Both women opted to meet after their surgeries, and they’re now good friends. The cop’s name is Annie Devost.  She says she heard a story about an anonymous kidney donor on the radio, and that’s what inspired her to do it…… 24 years ago, a cop in Indiana named Gene Eyster saved a baby boy after someone abandoned him in a cardboard box.  Now they’re in the news after Gene found out the kid grew up to become a cop himself.  24-year-old Matthew Hegedus-Stewart is a rookie with the same police department Gene worked for……… And finally, in a similar story…….. 

May is Nurses Month! Isabella Vanklompenberg, a 22-year-old MI woman, just graduated from nursing school, and the traditional pinning ceremony was a real full-circle moment.  She got her pin from a nurse named Sara Longest, who took care of her as a preemie 22 years ago. Isabella’s mom said “Thursday meant the world to me, to watch the two of them on stage. It’s such a blessing. I’m a very proud mother.”
