An EDM show in Santa Barbara, California called the Lucidity festival cancelled its 2024 event late last month and did NOT offer refunds.  Organizers claim they just don’t have the money. But how cool is this?  A totally different EDM festival with no connection announced THEY’RE honoring the tickets.  The Same Same But Different festival is happening near L.A. this month.  Anyone who didn’t get a refund can go for free.  They called it a “gesture of goodwill.”……. Talk about man’s best friend!  A guy in Ohio hit the lottery for $50,000 using the number from his German Shepherd’s dog license…………..And finally…………… 

A FL search-and-rescue team is training its first search-and-rescue otter.  His name is Splash.  The guy training him said he came up with the idea after learning otters are the only mammal that can smell things underwater.  Mike Hadsell, a veteran SAR diver and president of Peace River Search and Rescue said. “The dogs get us into the area but they can’t get us from the boat to the bottom. The otters get us from the boat to the bottom to show us exactly where the remains are located.” While at an active scene recently, they put Splash in the water to help, and he sniffed out the scent, went down to it, and threw a marker for the diver.
