A family in Colorado found their missing cat almost two months after he went missing.  His name is Drifter.  It turned out he’d been stuck in a sewer the whole time.  He lost more than half his body weight, but he’ll be fine………. A dog was seen wandering Vermont for a week with a bucket-like plastic container stuck over its head.  The dog ran from anyone who tried to approach it, but eventually animal control was able to rescue the dog, using a trap with McDonald’s chicken nuggets.  They say the dog could’ve been roaming around like that for a month, but he survived by eating and drinking through an opening in the bucket, and is now recovering at the vet………….And finally…………….   

Cops in Chicopee, MA recently added an ice cream truck to their fleet.  It’s a community outreach initiative, and the ice cream truck helps officers connect with kids who might otherwise only associate the police department with negativity. Local businesses donate so they can hand out ice cream for free, and a message on the side of the truck says their duty is, “To Protect and Serve Ice Cream.”
