Around a year ago, a woman near Toronto was devastated when a painting went missing from her wall. Her son threw a party, and one of his friends, who was probably drunk, walked off with it. Then they got tired of carrying it, left it on the street, and it vanished. It’s not worth much, but it was purchased in France by the woman’s mom, who has dementia now, so there’s a lot of sentimental value to it. She figured she’d never see it again, but decided that each year on the anniversary of it being stolen, she’d post a photo on Facebook and see if anyone had seen it. Random people started sharing her very first post, and a woman got in touch four hours later, and showed up at her door to give it back………. The founder of the payroll company Paychex announced he’s donating $360 million to charity. It’ll go to a variety of nonprofits across New York state…………….And finally……………..
A ninth grader in Rhode Island named Emilio Santana just got his first haircut in six years. He saw a little girl at the beach who was bald, and it inspired him to donate his hair. He’d been growing it out since the third grade. His locks went to a charity called Hair We Share that makes wigs for sick kids at no charge.
