It’s seemed like we might never win the war against opioid abuse, but a new report found fentanyl overdose deaths fell 10% over the past year.  That’s based on initial numbers, but experts think it might be an even bigger drop than that once all the stats are in……… A fire department in Washington state just got its own therapy dog, a Bernedoodle named Amani . . . that’s a Bernese-poodle mix.  They say he’s already brought a “sense of calm” to the station, and they feel he’s going to have a very PAW-sitive influence going forward…………….And finally…………

GA UPS driver Raheem Cooper was on his route when he saw an elderly woman, Marie Coble, collapsed in her driveway. He called 911 and stayed with her until help arrived, and Marie ended up having emergency brain surgery. Her family managed to track Raheem down to thank him, and he not only went to visit Marie and continues to do so, but he also started a GoFundMe to raise money for the family, kicking it off with $100 of his own money.  Earlier this week Raheem got a letter from UPS’s CEO for his acts of heroism, plus a coworker got him tickets to an FSU  football game, and his supervisor presented him with a plaque in his honor.
