A video of a candy shop owner in Calgary is making the rounds after a social media do-gooder popped in for a treat. He wanted to buy something for $4 but claimed he only had $3.50. She said that was enough, but after he paid, he pulled out his wallet and tried to hand her $40 just for being nice. She wouldn’t accept it but had a donation jar out for an annual event called the Kidney March , so he dropped it in the jar to help them out…………. Abby, a young MI girl with a love for animals, decided to donate the $80 she made at her lemonade stand to the Kent County Animal Shelter. Her parents matched the amount, so the total donated was $160. In a letter, Abby said “Maybe you can buy a toy or something for them,” along with her contribution. The shelter was touched by her gift and shared the letter on Facebook. Others then matched her donation or contributed in her honor. In three weeks, the shelter netted over $3K from people across the country—triple what they usually receive in a month. And that’s not all – boxes of treats and toys were also sent to the shelter in Abby’s name.
