106.5 HD2 the Trip
We've turned on Eastern North Carolina's newest radio station and first full time HD2 channel. It's called The Trip and it is best described as an 80's based hard rock format with some 70's and 90's thrown in for fun....tunes from a time when music wasn't really trying to make political statements – it was just about having fun and getting your party on......
Core artists for The Trip include Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Metallica, Poison, Ozzy, GNR, KISS, Scorpions, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, and Cinderella.
The Trip plays "hair bands" you know and love like Dokken, Warrant, Twisted Sister, RATT and Winger.
The Trip plays "pop rockers" like Night Ranger, Extreme, Mr. Big and Loverboy.
The Trip plays "metal" from Megadeth, Judas Priest, Motorhead and Iron Maiden.
The Trip plays tunes from bands that make you go "wow!" like White Lion, Steelheart, Bulletboys, Krokus, Slaughter, Vixen, UFO and yes, even Spinal Tap.
To hear The Trip you will need to buy and install an HD radio. With your HD radio you will be able to hear WSFL in crystal clear digital and pick up The Trip . You can get a HD radio at several retailers in Eastern NC. HD radios are now coming factory installed on select vehicles. The number of vehicles that come with HD radios will pick up in the next several years. With no recurring fees like satellite radio and more and more HD2 channels coming on line it only makes sense. Make sure to ask about it when you shop for a new car or truck.
